Häufig gestellte Fragen

  • What are seasonal heroes? What are hero seekers?
Seasonal heroes are people seeking seasonal employment. Hero seekers are those looking for seasonal workers.
  • What does the application process look like?
Fill in the questionnaire and apply for your desired field of work. Once we have successfully reviewed your questionnaire, we will arrange an online video interview with you (5 mins). We will then search our verified network for a suitable employer for you and send you suitable job offers.
  • What kind of jobs are offered?
We mainly provide personnel for the hospitality industry in holiday areas. This includes looking for personnel to work in the following domains: housekeeping, maintenance, service and/or kitchen staff.
  • Where can I find the job offers?
We will send you suitable job offers after reviewing your application and qualifications.
  • What about the salary?
The salary naturally varies between jobs and employers. You can find out about or negotiate the salary in advance in a personal (video) interview with the respective employer. After that, you can decide whether to accept the offer or not. Of course, you can always opt to decline a job offer or contact us if you have any questions. Important: we only put you in touch with employers and do not conduct salary negotiations.
  • During which seasons are there job opportunities? What season is it right now?
A distinction is made between summer and winter seasons. However, the exact dates will vary from employer to employer. We have seasonal jobs on offer all year round.
  • Is there a minimum period of time I need to be available?
For a seasonal job, you should be available for at least three months (12 weeks) at a time. The ideal period is the whole season from Easter to the end of October (summer season) or from November to April (winter season). This is because employers always prefer seasonal staff who can stay as long as possible, so they can avoid frequent new staff inductions and plan a stable team for the whole season.
  • What are the working hours? How many hours per week?
Most positions are full-time. With a five-day week, you will usually work 40 hrs/week; on a 6-day schedule this will generally be 48 hrs/week. Because these are seasonal periods, overtime work is common in accordance with the law and will be reduced or compensated. Very occasionally, part-time positions may also be available at 20-30 hrs/week, but these are the exception.
  • How will I be employed and by whom?
Each job is always arranged directly with the employer.
  • Is accommodation provided?
Our hero seekers (employers) have accommodation specifically for employees. The type of accommodation varies from employer to employer. The accommodation is not usually free of charge but is priced well below the standard rental rates in the region. You can discuss the specific type of accommodation with the hero seeker in your (video) interview.
  • Will travel expenses be covered?
Any payment of travel expenses must be agreed individually with the hero seeker (employer). In many cases, travel expenses are covered.
  • Who can I contact if I have a problem?
Do you have a question about your application status or job offers? Just email info@saison-held.de and we will try to answer your question as soon as possible. If you have any problems on site, a contact person is available at the company. You will get details about this from your hero seeker.
  • What happens if I am not happy with my employer?
Your employment contract will specify a probationary period, otherwise the statutory notice periods apply. The best thing to do is to contact your local representative, who will certainly be able to find a solution.
  • Do I have to pay any agency fees?
No. Our service is free of charge for seasonal heroes.
  • Is there a minimum age?
The minimum age for our seasonal jobs is 18.
  • What kind of documents do I need?
You need a valid ID document (passport, identity card) and health insurance.
